Update 3/17 [Mar. 17th, 2005|10:20 pm]
Compatriots of the Nevermore Movement

Greetings, Bird Watchers!

Yes, yes, we know, you have not heard from us in MONTHS, but waiting for something worth sending out to you guys has taken that long. Sadly, no, we did not make it into the Georgia Renaissance Festival due to a lack of space on the cast, however there is some good news...which you will have to keep reading to find out! Muahahahaha!!

*cough cough* Ahem... First on the agenda is that we are playing another gig next Friday, the 25th at Tea Fusions in Peachtree City, kicking off at 7 o'clock and ending roughly around 8:10-15 (eh, who pays attention anyway!). And in the spirit of St. Patrick's Day being this month, we are wearing William Wallace style face paint and KILTS (Yeah, yeah, we know, that's Scottish rather than Irish, but try telling that to the other Celtic bands around the country who wear them on St. Paddy's Day!)! Directions to Tea Fusions from Atlanta are posted at the end of this message.

Second on the agenda is that coming soon is the Three Ravens website. Now you will get to see and hear from us more often than you do on this mailing list! Once up, you'll be able to see our character bios, performance schedule, comic strip, photos from previous shows, and other bits of stark raven madness! We'll send the link to you the second we have it up and running!

And third on the agenda is something that we'd really like to crow about! Thanks to Marc Gunn of the Brobdingnagian Bards, we have been invited to perform as guest artists at Excalibur Fantasy Faire in Smithville, Texas (near Austin). We'll be there the last weekend of their season, April 2nd and 3rd.

Well thank you for taking the time to read this message and we hope to see you on the 25th!

Rebels without a caws,
The Three Ravens

The Three Ravens are:
Casey McConnell "Magdalena Dragoste" (guitar, violin, ashiko, vocals)
Ali Benson "Ravena Dragoste" (irish tin whistle, recorder, ashiko, autoharp, percussion, vocals)
Catherine Barson "Vara Noapte" (doumbek, bodhran, percussion, vocals)

Directions to Tea Fusions (from Atlanta):
Take I-85 S to the Fairburn/Peachtree City exit #61 (the same exit you would take to get to Ren Fest)and turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto GA-74 S. Continue to follow GA-74 S for about 11.2 miles and turn right onto Clover Reach (the road between the Arby's and the Waffle House). Take the next right, then turn left into the main parking lot. Tea Fusions is the store between the Rack Room shoes and the H.H. Gregg (has green umbrellas out in front of it)
